CHICAGO – The EKU men's tennis team (2-4) travels to Chicago for three matches at XS Tennis Village. The first match is on Thursday, Feb. 23 against DePaul (5-8) at 7:15 p.m. ET. On Friday, Feb. 24, the Colonels will face off against Army (7-5) at 1:00 p.m. ET and Cleveland State (8-4) at 7:00 p.m. ET.
THE COLONELS
- The Colonels enter the first match of the road trip with a 2-4 record, as they look to build momentum after beating Southern Indiana, 5-2.
- Kristoffer Stahlbrand leads the Maroon and White with a 4-1 singles record from the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the lineup.
- Paul-Antoine Brazet won his second straight singles match against Southern Indiana from the No. 4 position, 6-2, 6-2.
- Moritz Mayer holds a 3-3 singles record from the No. 1 court, winning his singles match against Southern Indiana's No. 1, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
SCOUTING DEPAUL
- The Blue Demons enter the matchup with a 5-8 mark, most recently dropping their match against Oral Roberts, 4-2. DePaul is on a six-match losing streak.
- DePaul is led by Leon Huck, posting a 7-3 singles record this season.
SCOUTING ARMY
- The Black Knights come to Chicago with a 7-5 record, most recently losing their match against Georgetown, 7-0.
- In Army's victory against Marquette last weekend, A.J. Woodman won his singles match from the No. 1 spot, 7-5, 6-4.
- Army will face off against EKU for the first time in their history.
SCOUTING CLEVELAND STATE
- The Vikings enter the match with an 8-4 record, most recently beating Binghamton, 6-1.
- Cleveland State is led by Maxime Mareschal-Hay in singles play, boasting a 9-2 singles record. He is undefeated from the No. 1 spot in the lineup.
- Kade Mindry and Raul Teichmann lead the charge in doubles, posting an 8-2 record from the No. 1 position.
- The Vikings will face off against EKU for the first time in their history.
