JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Doomed by a season-high 18 turnovers, Eastern Kentucky University lost to North Florida, 77-64, on Wednesday.

Isaiah Cozart recorded his fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. He went 6-for-10 from the field and blocked two shots.Â
Michael Moreno also had a double-double, contributing 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Moreno has posted a double-double in three straight games.

After the Colonels (18-12, 11-6 ASUN) went in front by five, 18-13, on a lay-up from
Dardan Kapiti, North Florida ran off a 9-0 run on three 3-pointers. The third, from Jarius Hicklen made it 22-18 in favor of the home team with 9:53 to go in the opening period.

Devontae Blanton's baseline jumper with 2:29 on the clock got EKU within two, 32-30. However, the Ospreys scored eight of the final 10 points of the half to take a 40-32 lead into the locker room.

EKU limited North Florida to 39 percent shooting from the field in the first half, but the Ospreys made 6-of-15 from 3-point range and forced 10 turnovers.

North Florida (13-16, 8-9 ASUN) picked up where it left off to start the second half, scoring nine of the first 11. Jadyn Parker's lay-up capped the run and gave the Ospreys a 49-34 lead with 17:18 left to play. Another 3-pointer, this time from Chaz Lanier, and Parker's lay-up pushed the lead to 18, 58-40, with 14:52 remaining. A jumper from Dorian James finished off what had become a 7-0 run and made it a 20-point margin, 60-40, with 12:59 on the clock.

EKU didn't get closer than 17 until the final minute and a half of the game.

Hicklen led UNF with 16 points. The Ospreys finished the night 13-of-33 from 3-point range (39 percent) and turned those 18 turnovers into 19 points.Â

EKU out-rebounded North Florida by nine, 48-39, but allowed 14 offensive rebounds and 16 second chance points. The maroon and white finished 4-for-21 from deep (19 percent).
