CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The EKU men's tennis team (3-13, 0-4 ASUN) travels to Clarksville for a match against Austin Peay (3-9, 0-2 ASUN) on Sunday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. ET at the Governors Tennis Courts.
THE COLONELS
- The Colonels enter the match with a 3-13 mark, as they look to bounce back from their loss at Bellarmine.
- Moritz Mayer leads the Maroon and White in singles play with seven wins, including a win against Liberty's No. 1 Rafael Marques da Silva, who was ranked No. 99 in the country in early February.
- Kristoffer Stahlbrand and Arthur Bugeaud are the leading pair in doubles, boasting a 5-3 record from the top two spots in the lineup.
- Bugeaud and Paul-Antoine Brazet won their singles matches against Bellarmine in three sets each.
- EKU owns a 13-7 all-time record against Austin Peay, winning the last matchup by a score of 4-3 in 2018.
SCOUTING AUSTIN PEAY
- The Governors enter the matchup with a 3-9 record, most recently falling to #71 North Florida, 5-0, on March 19. Austin Peay competes against Lipscomb on Saturday before facing EKU.
- Austin Peay is led by Sota Minami in singles, posting a 5-4 record from the top two spots in the lineup.
- Giovanni Becchis and Tom Bolton are the leading pair in doubles with a 5-4 from the top two courts.
