KENNESAW, Ga. – Eastern Kentucky University's baseball team lost game two of its series at Kennesaw State, 11-4, on Saturday.
 
For the second straight game, the Owls grabbed an early lead.  Spencer Hanson had an RBI double and Donovan Cash capped a three-run first inning with a solo home run.
 
EKU made it 3-1 in the top of the third on a ground ball that scored 
Santiago Peralta.  KSU came right back and answered with three in the bottom half of the frame to make it 6-1.  The Owls added another in the fourth and three more in the fifth.  Wade Richardson's RBI double in the sixth gave Kennesaw State an 11-1 lead.
 
The Colonels (8-14, 1-4 ASUN) kept the game alive in the top of the seventh when 
Hayden Duffield hit his first home run of the season.  The three-run shot over the wall in left cut the deficit to seven.  But the visitors never got any closer.
 
Charlie Ludwick went 2-for-3 with a walk.  Duffield was 1-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.
 
Cash had a 2-for-3 day with two walks, two runs and three RBIs for Kennesaw State (10-11, 2-3 ASUN).
 
The series finale is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. and will air live on the Owl Network.
