Men’s Tennis Plays In A Rematch Against Bellarmine At Home

RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU men's tennis team (4-13, 1-4 ASUN) plays in a rematch against Bellarmine (12-7, 4-0 ASUN) at home on Wednesday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. at the Tom Higgins Outdoor Courts.
 
THE COLONELS
  • The Colonels enter the match with a 4-13 mark, as they look to continue their momentum after earning their first ASUN Conference win in program history against Austin Peay by a score of 6-1 on Sunday.
  • EKU lost to Bellarmine in Louisville by a score of 5-2 on March 23.
  • The Maroon and White are led by Moritz Mayer in singles, who leads the team with eight singles wins from the top two spots in the lineup.
  • Kristoffer Stahlbrand and Arthur Bugeaud are the leading pair in doubles, boasting a 6-3 record from the top two spots in the lineup.
  • Paul-Antoine Brazet and Bugeaud won two consecutive singles matches, including their previous match against Bellarmine.  
 
SCOUTING BELLARMINE
  • The Knights enter the matchup with a 12-7 record, most recently beating Lipscomb, 4-3, on March 26.
  • Matthew Nice leads Bellarmine in singles play, posting a 12-5 mark from multiple spots in the lineup.
  • Paul Reynolds and Eli Wood are the leading pair in doubles with a 5-1 record.
  • The Knights won from the bottom four spots in singles to secure the win at Lipscomb.
