CULLOWHEE, N.C. – Conner Davis and 
Jalen Jones hit home runs in Eastern Kentucky University's 7-5 loss at Western Carolina on Sunday.
 
The Colonels will host Cincinnati on Wednesday at Earle Combs Stadium.  First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
Davis gave EKU (4-8) a 1-0 lead in the top of the first when he sent a 1-2 pitch over the wall in left field.  Jones gave the visitors a 4-0 advantage when he hit a three-run shot in the top of the second inning.  
Miguel Larreal scored on an error later in the inning to make it 5-0.
 
Western Carolina (5-7) took control in the bottom of the second inning, hitting four home runs.  James Hinson's lead-off dinger got the Catamounts on the board.  With two outs and one on, Jordan Starkes hit a two-run home run.  Zach Ketterman followed with a solo shot to draw WCU within 5-4.  Two batters later, Nate Stocum gave the home team the lead for good with a two-run shot over the wall in right field.
 
Anthony Vargas, 
Quinton Hall and 
Luke Reed combined to not allow a hit or a run over the final three innings of the game for the Colonels.
 
Jones finished 1-for-4 with a run and three RBIs for EKU.  Davis went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and an RBI.
