LYNCHBURG, Va. – The EKU men's tennis team (4-18, 1-7 ASUN) starts ASUN Tournament play in the first round against #7 Jacksonville State (12-10, 4-4 ASUN) on Thursday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Liberty Tennis Complex. The winner will compete against #2 Liberty in the ASUN Quarterfinals on Friday, April 14 at 1:00 p.m.
THE COLONELS
- The Colonels enter postseason play with a 4-18 record, as they look for their first ASUN Championship in school history. They enter the tournament as the #10 seed.
- EKU lost to Jacksonville State by a score of 5-2 on March 17 in Richmond.
- Moritz Mayer leads the Maroon and White in singles play, leading the team with nine wins from the top two spots in the lineup.
- Kristoffer Stahlbrand and Arthur Bugeaud are the leading doubles pair, posting a 6-4 mark from the top two spots in the lineup.
SCOUTING JACKSONVILLE STATE
- The Gamecocks enter the match with a 12-10 mark, as they closed out the regular season with a 4-1 win against Austin Peay.
- Vanja Dobrnjac leads Jacksonville State in singles, boasting a 15-6 record from multiple spots in the lineup.
- The Gamecocks are led by Konstantin Benneman in doubles, posting a 9-6 record record from multiple spots in the lineup.
