RICHMOND, Ky. – Roderick Criss II hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning to give Eastern Kentucky University a one-run lead, but first place Lipscomb tied it in the eighth and won the ASUN Conference series opener, 8-4, in 10 innings.

With EKU trailing 3-1,
Logan Thomason started the sixth inning with a walk. After the next two batters struck out,
Charlie Ludwick kept the inning alive with a single through the left side. Criss followed with his seventh home run of the season to swing the Colonels into the lead 4-3.

With the bases loaded in the eighth for Lipscomb, Parks Bouck drew a walk to force in the tying run and keep the bases loaded with just one out.Â
Chase Alderman got the next batter to ground a ball back to the mound. Alderman started a 1-2-3 double play to end the inning and keep the game tied.

Another bases loaded walk, this time by Jake Berg in the 10th broke the 4-4 tie. The Bisons added three more runs in the inning to pull ahead by four.

Criss finished 2-for-4 with a run and four RBIs for the Colonels (19-23, 9-10 ASUN). Bouck was 1-for-2 with two walks, a run and three RBIs for Lipscomb (22-20, 14-5 ASUN).

Isaac Milburn turned in his second straight quality start. The sophomore left-hander allowed three runs on six hits, walked two and struck out seven in six innings of work.
