RICHMOND, Ky. – For the second time in as many days, Eastern Kentucky University lost in 10 innings to first place Lipscomb, falling 7-5 on Saturday at Earle Combs Stadium.

The Colonels answered Lipscomb's run in the top of the first with three in the bottom half of the inning. With two outs and two on,
DJ Sullivan launched his sixth home run of the season over the wall in right center.

Alex Vergara's three-run home run in the top of the fourth swung the lead back in favor of the Bisons, 5-3. Trailing by one in the eighth,
Miguel Larreal hit a solo home run to tie the game for EKU.

Will Lee's two-run single in the 10th proved to be the difference for Lipscomb (23-20, 15-5 ASUN).

Sullivan finished 2-for-4 with a run and drove in four of EKU's five runs. Larreal was 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs and an RBI. Vergara had a 2-for-5 day with a run and three RBIs for the Bisons. Lee finished 2-or-4 with a run and the two game winning RBIs.

Freshman
Nathan Lawson pitched four and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief for the Colonels (19-24, 9-11 ASUN). He allowed just two hits, did not walk a batter and struck out three.
