RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU women's golf head coach
Mandy Moore announced the signing of Sadanun "Dili" Sitanonth, a native of Thailand and transfer from Texas Southern, to their 2023-24 roster on Wednesday morning.
"We are very excited for Dili to join our team this Fall," said Moore. "She is passionate about golf and comes to us with some good tournament experience. She has proven she knows how to win and I look forward to the opportunity to coach her."
Sitanonth joins the Colonels with two seasons under her belt at Texas Southern, where she was a two-time SWAC Individual Champion, two-time SWAC Team Champion, two-time All-SWAC First Team member, SWAC Freshman of the Year, and had two top-10 finishes at the Women's Southern Golf Association Amateur and The PGA Works Collegiate.
She enters the 2023-24 season at EKU with two years of eligibility remaining.
Last year, Sitanonth claimed the SWAC Individual Championship posting a three-round total of 228 (75-75-78) and helped Texas Southern to back-to-back SWAC Team Championships, beating the rest of the field by 21 strokes.
She would conclude the 2022-23 season at the PGA Works Collegiate finished tied for sixth. She led the Tigers to three wins on the season, claiming All-SWAC First Team honors.
Her freshman season, Dili also captured the SWAC Individual Championship with a three-round score of 230 (77-77-76). Texas Southern would go on to win its first conference title since the 2017 season, dominating the rest of the field by over 30 strokes.
Sitanonth was named the SWAC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-SWAC, leading TSU in its most historic season in program history with five total wins on the year.
A native of Bangkok, Thailand, Sitanonth becomes the ninth member of the 2023-24 EKU women's golf roster and is set to join the team this offseason to prepare for the Fall slate beginning in September.
EKU is coming off a season that ended with a ninth-place finish at the ASUN Women's Golf Championship in April. The Colonels have placed top 10 in the field in both seasons as a member of the conference.
