SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The women's golf team will compete in the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford College, on Monday and Tuesday at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
The 12 participating teams are Appalachian State, EKU, Elon, East Tennessee, Gardner-Webb, Presbyterian College, South Carolina State, Seminole State, North Carolina-Greensboro, Western Carolina, Winthrop and Wofford.
The course at the Country Club of Spartanburg will have a par of 72 and play to 6,037 yards.
The practice round for EKU will start at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The first two rounds will be played on Monday beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The final round on Tuesday will also begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
EKU's starting five will include junior
Karra Tucker, senior
Claira Ramsey Eden, freshman
Josie Kelley, junior
Maddi-Jo Benton and junior
Imogen Jessen. Freshman
Mollie Neeley will play as an individual.
Tucker leads the team with a 72.11 stroke average. She has shot par or below in six of her nine rounds, including a career-low 67 (-4) at last week's Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate.
Jessen is second on the team with a 75.50 stroke average. Kelley has a 76.00 average and has carded two rounds at par or below.
EKU is coming off an 11th place finish at Tennessee's Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate. The Colonels' second round 288 was its lowest single round score of the season.
