NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer program (1-5-1) opens ASUN Conference play with a date against Lipscomb (4-4) on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Lipscomb Soccer Complex.

EKU was shutout in its last match on the road at Miami (Ohio) by a score of 1-0 and only attempted two shots in the affair. Junior
Marah Krick led the effort with four saves on 15 shots faced.

Ruby Dunlevy leads the squad with two goals, eight shots, five shots on target and a 62.5 percent shot on goal rate.
EKU enters its third season as a member of the ASUN on Thursday and is coming off back-to-back appearances in the ASUN Championship semifinals, the team earned 14 points in conference play last season.
With the team's post-season success, EKU became the first ASUN program since 1999 to advance in the tournament in its first two years in the league.
Lipscomb enters play on Thursday with four wins over Ole Miss, Evansville, Middle Tennessee and Siena. The Bisons' have power five losses to No. 7 Alabama (1-3) and Tennessee (0-3). The team played to a 3-3 draw in pre-season play to No. 20 Memphis on the road.
Forward Kelli Beiler leads Lipscomb with six goals on the season and has fired 31 shots, 14 on target. The Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa. native is a one-time ASUN Forward of the Week after scoring four goals over three fixtures against Siena, MTSU and Evansville.
Midfielder Kiara Pralle is second on the team with four goals and has landed 50 percent of her shots on target. Lipscomb ranks 66th in the country in shots per game.
Thursday's battle is the fourth meeting between EKU and Lipscomb, who leads the all-time series 2-1. The Colonels are seeking their first win over the Bisons since regular season play in 2021 where defender
