CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – EKU women's basketball falls to 0-2 in Atlantic Sun Conference play with a 62-52 loss to Austin Peay on Saturday afternoon at F&M Bank Arena.
Antwainette Walker led the Colonels with 20 points behind a 7-of-22 showing from the field.
Austin Peay claimed the first quarter by a lopsided 16-8 total. Walker scored four of EKU's first eight points.

Kaitlyn Costner and Walker cut the deficit to three points to begin the second quarter. The Govs would extend their lead back to double digits off made baskets by Abby Cater to close the first half, 28-18.
EKU shot 26 percent from the floor in the third quarter, allowing APSU to extend its largest lead to 19 points twice. Austin Peay ended the third quarter with a 49-30 lead over the Colonels.
Despite a season-low 25 percent shooting effort from the floor, EKU cut its deficit to just seven points off back-to-back three-pointers from Walker. The Govs' Alyssa Hargrove converted an and-one to go back up 10, ending the game in a 62-52 win in the home team's favor.
EKU returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 13 on the road for its third straight game taking on Bellarmine inside Freedom Hall at 1 p.m. EST.
