EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team ends its two-game road swing on Thursday night against Michigan State inside the Breslin Center on B1G Network+.
Thursday's game is scheduled to tipoff at 6:30 p.m. ET, fans can tune in via B1G Network+ with Matt Merrifield and Joe DesVergnes on the call. Fans can also find the game over the airwaves on 92.5 WEKY with Wes Chandler doing courtside coverage.
EKU (1-2) is coming off its first win of the season with authority winning 70-49 on the road against Southern Illinois last weekend. Five Colonels scored in double-figures, led by 13 points from
Liz Freihofer and a 12-point, 11-rebound performance from
Jasmine McGinnis-Taylor.
Thursday will be homecoming for junior forward
Faith Walker, who is a native of Grand Rapids and attended Forest Hill Northern High School near her hometown. In her prep days, Walker was named AP All-State and is a one-time White Conference champion.
After high school, she went the JUCO route and attended Western Nebraska Community College, she was named All-Region during the 2023-24 season prior to transferring to EKU.
Scouting Michigan State
Michigan State (3-0) is coming off a 95-49 win over Eastern Michigan on Monday at home, the Spartans' third consecutive 95+ point performance and 45-point win margin victory on the early year.
Junior forward Grace VanSlooten leads MSU with 18 points and seven rebounds per game, playing in 2-of-3 games on the season against Oakland and Yale.
