BEREA, Ky. – Six Colonels scored in double figures to give EKU women's basketball its second largest margin of victory in program history defeating Maryville College by a score of 101-25 on Wednesday evening at the Seabury Center.
EKU's 76-point margin of victory was the second largest win in program history, only three points shy of its largest margin of victory in the Colonels' 54 season of women's basketball, which was a 78-point win over Cincinnati Christian back in 2015.
Wednesday's result marks consecutive seasons in which EKU has defeated a non-conference opponent by 75 or more points and the fifth game the Colonels have scored 100 or more points under fourth-year head coach

Freshman guard
Liz Freihofer led the Colonels in their lopsided win with a career-high 17 points and six rebounds. The Union, Kentucky native went 6-for-10 from the floor and led the team with two three-pointers.

Raphaela Toussaint (10). EKU connected 38 of its 66 shots on target to shoot over 50 percent for the second time in the last three games.
Costner's 12 points scored in Wednesday's win marked her fourth straight game scoring in double figures, continuing her team-leading 12.9 points per game this season.
McGinnis-Taylor scored in double figures for the third time in her last four games while Freihofer's 17 points marked her third time in double digits through the first eight games of her freshman campaign.
EKU (5-3) went 20-for-26 from the free throw line, grabbed 48 rebounds, had 20 assists, had 20 steals, and scored 62-of-101 points in the paint against Maryville (0-3) – who shot a low 18 percent from the floor on 53 shot attempts.
The Colonels opened Wednesday's contest on a 21-7 run off made baskets from seven different student-athletes and never would relinquish its scoring barrage. EKU won the first period 25-7, second period 29-5, third period 24-2, and fourth period 23-11 to end the game with a 101-25 victory.
EKU's two points allowed in the third quarter tied the lowest point total the program has allowed in a single quarter in program history.
Ella Haney led Maryville with 10 points on a 4-of-13 showing from the floor. Kentuckian Olivia Cathers had seven points in the loss and had a team-leading three steals against EKU.
The Colonels return to action after Thanksgiving break and will travel up I-75 to face Northern Kentucky on Saturday at Truist Arena. The game is scheduled to tip at 3:30 p.m. ET and can be viewed on ESPN+.
