HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Coming off the second largest win in program history, the Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team prepares to face in-state for Northern Kentucky on Saturday at Truist Arena.
 
Saturday's game is scheduled to tip at 3:30 p.m. and fans looking to see the Colonels in action can purchase tickets here.  Those unable to be in attendance can find the game streamed live on ESPN+.
 
EKU (5-3) scored 101 points last time out against Maryville College for its fourth consecutive win entering Saturday's game.  Six Colonels scored in double figures, led by freshman guard Liz Freihofer who dropped a career-high 17 points on 60 percent shooting.
 
On the season, senior guard Kaitlyn Costner leads the Colonels with 12.9 points per game and is top 150 in the country in points and made field goals.  The Osceola, Indiana native has scored double digits in five of her last six games, including a career-best 24 points in a lopsided road win over Radford last week.
 
Scouting NKU
Northern Kentucky enters play tomorrow with a 2-5 record and have dropped each of its last three games against Toledo, Southern Indiana, and Bradley.  Graduate guard/forward Halle Idowu leads the squad with 14.9 points per game and has scored double figures in five of her seven games played this year.
 
History vs. NKU
Saturday's game at Truist Arena marks the 17th all-time meeting between the Colonels and Norse dating back to 1975.  Northern Kentucky leads the head-to-head series 11-6 and 7-1 on its home floor.  However, EKU has won three of the last five meetings including an 11-point, 86-75 win over NKU last season in Richmond.
