EKU Men’s Tennis Wins Seventh Straight Match Against Belmont

NASHVILLE – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team (9-3, 0-0 ASUN) won their seventh straight match by a score of 4-3 against Belmont (0-3, 0-0 Horizon) on Friday at the Ensworth Tennis Center. The Colonels are tied with No. 16 Michigan State for the most wins in the country.
 
To begin the dual match, J.Anurag Reddy and Kristoffer Stahlbrand won their doubles match from the No. 3 court, 6-2. Fernando Bulnes and Evzen Holis won their sixth doubles match of the season from the No. 1 spot, 6-4, as the Colonels took a one-point advantage.
 
Holis won his sixth straight singles match in three sets from the No. 2 position, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
 
Paul-Antoine Brazet earned the victory in singles play from the No. 5 court in three sets, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.
 
Stahlbrand clinched the match for EKU, winning his singles contest in a three-set thriller from the No. 6 spot on a tiebreaker, 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-3).
