Colonels Travel to Chicago State, Antwainette Walker Homecoming

EKU’s Seeking First 20-Win Season Since 2004-05

CHICAGO – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball squad will take a break from Atlantic Sun Conference play to travel to Chicago State for its final non-conference game of the season on Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Jones Convocation Center.

Tuesday's game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EST and can be viewed on Chicago State's official YouTube channel.  The game will also be available on 92.5 WEKY with Wes Chandler courtside on the call.

EKU's Antwainette Walker, a Lisle, Illinois native, is primed for her homecoming, returning to her home city for the first time since Feb. 16, 2022, while playing for Marquette in a road game at DePaul.

Colonel fans in the Windy City and Walker supporters can purchase tickets for Tuesday's game at the link here.

EKU (19-8, 8-5 ASUN) is coming off a split last week on the road, most recently suffering a 27-point loss to Central Arkansas in Conway.

Last game, forward Sierra McCullough led the Colonels with 15 points and eight rebounds, despite EKU being without four scholarship players in the game.

Earlier in the road swing, EKU defeated North Alabama by a wide 84-57 gap behind Walker's 21 points and 12 rebounds.  The win clinched EKU's berth in the 2024 ASUN Championship at the conclusion of regular season play in early March.

With the berth, EKU has qualified for the tournament in all three of its seasons as a member institution in the league.
