RICHMOND, Ky. – Ahead of EKU softball's home opener next week, Eastern Kentucky University athletics announced the team's promotional schedule for this season's home games.
EKU will play 25 home games this 2024 season, highlighted by midweek games against Kentucky, Louisville, Virginia Tech, and four Atlantic Sun Conference weekend series.
Season tickets start at just $30 for bleacher seating and $40 for chairback seating, both offering premiere viewing of games at EKU's Gertrude Hood Field. Those tickets can be purchased online
here or by calling the EKU Ticket Office at 859-622-2122.

Three promotional events will reoccur during the 2024 season, including $2 Fridays ($2 tickets, popcorn, soda, hot dogs, etc.), Softball Bingo Saturday (In-game softball bingo, please pick up a card at the marketing booth), and Kids Day Sundays (Kids 12 and under receive free admission and can run the bases post game).
The Colonels will also host Taylor Swift Night at the ballpark against Kentucky on April 30, where fans can partake in Taylor Swift themed music, a FREE Eras poster, and a friendship bracelet giveaway.
EKU is scheduled to open its home slate on March 1-3 hosting the Colonel Classic with five games against Canisius, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Ball State. The weekend schedule will include $2 Fridays, Softball Bingo Saturday, and Kids Day at the stadium for the first time this season.
Next, EKU will host Virginia Tech on March 6 for Hot Chocolate and Mugs Day, where upon the purchase of a hot chocolate at the concession stand, fans will receive a free EKU mug.
The Colonels will host a four-game series against Central Connecticut on March 9-10, where on Friday fans can receive a free EKU blanket at the gates on Friday. Saturday will be Kids Day at the park.
EKU's first ASUN home series against Kennesaw State from March 23-24 will be TV Show Day on Saturday and Kids Day on Sunday. The Colonels will host Northern Kentucky for their next game on Wednesday, March 27 and give out crew necks to all students in attendance.
Next ASUN series against North Alabama from March 29-30 will be Rock and Roll Colonels, featuring $2 tickets, in-game trivia, music, and a Bluetooth speaker giveaway in the doubleheader on Friday. The series will conclude on Saturday with Colonels Gone Country and Softball Bingo.
In April, EKU is set to host Austin Peay from 4/12-14 and will feature Bark in the Park, Martha Mullins Day, and Youth Softball Day, while keeping the season weekend themes active for a plethora of events at the park.
The Colonels will then face Louisville on April 16 for Greek Night at Gertude Hood Field beginning at 6 p.m. EST. There will be a free bucket hat giveaway for students as well as the Aramark Grill open at the concession stand.
EKU will then play host to Kentucky on April 16 for all the Swifties, hosting Taylor Swift Night at the ballpark. Fans in attendance can partake in Taylor Swift themed music, friendship bracelet giveaways, a FREE softball Eras poster, and more!
To wrap up the home slate, EKU will host Lipscomb on May 2-3 for Fan Appreciation Day and Senior Day.
