Box Score

RICHMOND, Ky. –
EKU lost 21-16 to Wright State in the series finale of the 3-game series on Sunday at Earle Combs Stadium.

Wright State (7-7) wasted little time getting going, scoring five runs in the first inning.  Sammy Sass hit a 2-run home run.  After a bases loaded walk, Parker Harrison drove in two more with a single through the right side.

The Colonels (2-14) got on the board in the bottom of the first on Tait Nunnally's run scoring single through the right side.  Back-to-back RBI singles from Colby Ott and Nunnally in the second made it a 7-3 game.

EKU never got any closer.  The Raiders scored 10 times in the third, all with two outs, including a grand slam off the bat of Boston Smith.

Nunnally added a solo home run in the fourth.  He hit a 3-run shot in the seventh, his fifth of the season.  The freshman finished 6-for-6 with two home runs, a double, four runs and six RBIs.  Ott went 3-for-6 with two runs and an RBI.
