RICHMOND, Ky. – Six pitchers combined to allow just three hits and freshman
Tait Nunnally drove in four runs as Eastern Kentucky University a weekend Atlantic Sun Conference series sweep of North Alabama with a 5-1 win on Sunday at Earle Combs Stadium.

The Colonels (7-18, 5-1 ASUN) won the first game of the series 10-0 in seven innings on Friday and captured a 6-5 victory on Saturday.

Nunnally broke a scoreless tie when he sent a 3-run home run sailing over the wall in right field with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning. It was his sixth homer of the season. The outfielder/first baseman from Pell City, Alabama added an RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to make it 4-1. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a run and four driven in.

Jack Waters started and retired all six batters he faced in two innings on the mound. He struck out three.Â
Rese Brown retired the first six he faced.Â

North Alabama (8-15, 1-5 ASUN) had its first base runner when Zak Majer started the fifth inning with a walk. He stole second with one out and then scored on Jackson Ferrigno's single to left center, making it a 3-1 contest. Brown got out of the inning without allowing any further damage. He surrendered one run on one hit, walked one and struck out three in three innings of work.

Quinton Hall and
Garrett Langrell combined to pitch the final four innings without allowing a run. The foursome gave up two hits and two walks. Langrell retired the side in order in the ninth to pick up his second save of the season.

In the 3-game series, EKU's pitching staff compiled a 2.16 ERA and limited the Lions to a .186 batting average. The Colonels walked only six batters and struck out 20.

Conner Davis had a 2-for-4 game and scored twice for EKU.
