RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team (15-4, 0-0 ASUN) swept Southern Indiana (1-8, 0-1 Horizon) by a score of 7-0 in its final non-conference match on Friday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
To begin the dual match,
Fernando Bulnes and
Evzen Holis won their doubles match from the No. 1 position, 6-1.
Moritz Mayer and
Mario Monclus Martin won their seventh doubles match of the season as a pair from the No. 2 court, 6-2, as the Colonels took a one-point advantage.
Bulnes won in singles play from the No. 2 court, 6-1, 3-0, retired. Mayer earned a straight-set victory in singles play from the No. 4 spot, 6-3, 6-1.
Holis clinched the match for the Colonels in singles play from the No. 1 position, 6-3, 6-2.
Monclus Martin won in singles play in straight sets from the No. 3 spot, 6-4, 6-3.
J.Anurag Reddy won his eighth singles match of the season from the No. 5 position, 8-2.
Ryan Kitchin won his singles match from the No. 6 court, 8-1.
