RICHMOND, Ky. – The Colonels took a 7-4 lead in the bottom of the fourth but couldn't hold off a comeback from Wright State in a 17-11 loss on Saturday at Earle Combs Stadium.

Tait Nunnally got EKU off to a good start with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. Newcomer
Ehinger Adrianza broke a 4-4 tie with a 2-run single through the left side in the bottom of the third inning. A sacrifice fly from
Max Williams in the bottom of the fourth pushed the Colonel lead to 7-4.

The Raiders (6-7) rallied with nine runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings. Sammy Sass, Drew Baker and Carson Clark all had RBI singles in the 6-run fifth inning. Clark capped a 3-run sixth with a 2-run home run over the wall in right field, pushing Wright State in front 13-7.

Adrianza finished 2-for-4 with a walk, a run and two RBIs for EKU (2-13). Nunnally was 1-for-5 with a run and three driven in.

Clark had a 3-for-6 night with a run and four RBIs for Wright State.

The series finale on Sunday will get underway at 1 p.m. Sunday will be Kids Day. All kids 12 and under receive FREE admission and get to run the bases after the game.
