NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University battled to a 1-1 tie through the first four innings, but Lipscomb scored six times in the fifth and pulled away for an 11-1 win in the series finale on Sunday.
 
The Colonels (11-28, 8-10 ASUN) tied the game at 1-1 on a double down the left field line by Ron Franklin Jr. in the top of the fourth inning.  The extra base hit scored Conner Davis.
 
The Bisons (13-25, 9-9 ASUN) pulled away with six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.  Four of the six runs scored on bases loaded walks.  Trace Willhoite hit a 3-run home run in the seventh to end the game by run rule.
 
Franklin had two of EKU's three hits, finishing 2-for-2 with a walk and an RBI.
 
Mason Lundgrin scored four times for Lipscomb, going 1-for-2 with three walks and an RBI.  Willhoite finished 2-for-3 with two runs and four RBIs.
 
Colonel pitchers walked 13 batters and hit two.
 
EKU will play the University of Dayton on Tuesday at Day Air Ballpark, the home of the Class A Dayton Dragons.  First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
