RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team (19-6, 4-2 ASUN) aims to maintain its undefeated home record for the Senior Day match against FGCU (5-12, 2-5 ASUN) on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the Tom Higgins Outdoor Courts.

Moritz Mayer. The Senior Day ceremony will take place after the match at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
THE COLONELS
EKU heads into the match with a 19-6 record, defeating No. 68 Stetson by a score of 5-2 on April 5, marking the first win against a ranked opponent in program history. The Maroon and White secured victories against Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Queens, and No. 68 Stetson in Atlantic Sun Conference play. EKU enjoyed a 12-game winning streak from Jan. 31 to March 2, tying the program's longest winning streak. The Colonels maintain an unbeaten 15-0 record at home this season.
The Maroon and White are led by
Evzen Holis, who boasts a 15-7 record in singles play this season. He has been named ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week three times this season.
Moritz Mayer has a 15-9 mark in singles play this season, tied with Holis for the most singles wins on the team. He beat Georgia's Miguel Perez Pena in singles play on Jan. 22, who was the No. 43 singles player in the country, marking the highest-ranked singles win in program history. The Eutingen, Germany product won the ASUN Men's Tennis Player of the Week twice.
Paul-Antoine Brazet and
Fernando Bulnes also boast 14 and 13 singles wins, respectively. EKU holds an 87-60 record in singles play as a team this season.
Mario Monclus Martin and Mayer form the leading doubles pair, with a 12-4 record from the top two spots in the lineup. Mayer leads the team with 14 doubles wins. The Colonels have secured the doubles point in 16 out of their last 20 matches, boasting a 38-18 record in doubles this season.
SCOUTING FGCU
FGCU enters the contest with a 5-12 mark, falling to Queens by a score of 6-1 on April 5. The Eagles secured victories against Lipscomb and Austin Peay in ASUN Conference play so far this season. Hugo Magnusson leads Florida Gulf Coast in doubles play, posting a 10-5 record from the top court. Sunday's matchup marks the first meeting in the all-time series between EKU and FGCU.
