RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University and the United Athletic Conference announced their revised football schedule for the 2024 season on Monday.

The competition slate features four home games and four road games in a full round-robin format for each of the league's nine member institutions.

The revised schedule is a result of flexible and open-minded work by the league administration and member institutions' leadership in response to the late and unexpected departure of a former member.

Colonel fans can rest assured that all previously purchased tickets remain valid for the rescheduled games. New season ticket holders can purchase tickets HERE. Season tickets start at just $50.

EKU's first four weeks of the season remain unchanged, with the season kicking off on the road at Mississippi State on Aug. 31, followed by the renewal of the Battle of the Bluegrass against Western Kentucky on Sept. 7.

The Colonels then open UAC play with their home opener against new Division I foe West Georgia on Sept. 14, before welcoming in-state rival Morehead State the following week on Sept. 21.

The only non-conference game altered in the new schedule will be against Robert Morris, which will now be on Sept. 28, but still at Roy Kidd Stadium. The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 5, which will now serve as a bye week for EKU.

From there, the Colonels will fly out to the "Beehive State" to face Southern Utah on Oct. 12 before remaining on the road to face Abilene Christian on Oct. 19.

The Colonels then return home on Oct. 26 to face Utah Tech for the first time inside Roy Kidd Stadium.

On Nov. 2, EKU returns to the "Lone Star State" for the final time to face Tarleton State on the road and will return home on Nov. 9 to face Central Arkansas.

The Maroon and White will play their final road game of the regular season on Nov. 16 against rival Austin Peay and will return home for the regular season finale against North Alabama on Nov. 23.

The focus of the revised slate centered on accommodating expressed protected dates from each institution, maintaining the balanced eight-game conference format (four home/four road), attempting to keep similar location sequencing from the previous schedule, and mitigating as many travel plan disruptions as possible.
