RICHMOND, Ky. – Coming off a 34-20 ranked home win last Saturday against then No. 15 Austin Peay, EKU football will now head south to face the Lions of North Alabama on Saturday night in United Athletic Conference play.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+ with the audio stream on the EKU Sports Network, presented by Kentucky 811.
On the call for the Colonels will be Greg Stotelmyer, Jim Tirey, and Wes Chandler.
Fans should tune in by following the "Listen Live" button at the top of the EKUSports.com home page or on the EKU Sports App presented by Kentucky Air National Guard. The audio broadcast will start at 5 p.m. with a pregame show leading up to kickoff.
Saturday will be the fourth meeting all-time between the conference foes, with EKU winning each of the previous three meetings.
The Colonels (3-3, UAC 1-1) will travel after scoring 17 unanswered points in the second half last Saturday to knock off the Governors of APSU last Saturday.
In the win, EKU scored touchdowns in all three phases of the game with a 100-yard kick return by T.J. Mitchell, a pick-six by
Vito Tisdale Jr., and two rushing touchdowns by
Myles Burkett and
Brady Hensley.
The Lions are back at home for the second straight week after falling to Central Arkansas, 49-21.
Saturday will also be UNA's homecoming game.
The Colonels
The defense of EKU continues to shine in the 2025 season, as they are tied for the most defensive touchdowns in the FCS this season with four.
Defensive back
Vito Tisdale Jr. leads the Colonels and is tied for first in the nation with four interceptions this season, two of which he has returned for touchdowns.
On the season, EKU has a positive average turnover margin of 1.17 per game, the ninth best in FCS.
Offensively, sophomore running back
Brady Hensley has broken out over the last two games for EKU with 238 yards on 22 carries averaging 10.8 yards per carry including two long touchdown runs (68 yards vs. Nicholls & 72 yards vs. Austin Peay).
Scouting the Lions
UNA (1-5, UAC 0-2) will look to get things going at homecoming, still seeking its first win against a Division I opponent this season.
All-time, the Lions are 53-21-1 when playing in homecoming games including a 47-34 upset of then No. 10 Abilene Christian last season, the program's first win over a ranked FCS opponent.
Running back Jayvian Allen is the team's primary running back tallying 373 yards on 65 carries this year including four rushing touchdowns.
On special teams, punter Adam Watford leads the conference and is eighth in the nation averaging 46.8 yards per punt.
