Women’s Soccer Concludes Regular Season Hosting Austin Peay, Lipscomb

Colonels Searching for ASUN Tournament Berth

RICHMOND, Ky. – With an ASUN Conference Tournament berth on the line, the Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team will close out the 2025 regular season this week by hosting Austin Peay and Lipscomb at EKU Soccer Field.
 
The Colonels will face Austin Peay on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, then host Lipscomb on Sunday at noon for Homecoming Day. Admission is free for all fans. Wednesday's match will stream live on ESPN+.
 
EKU (9-3-4, 4-2-2 ASUN) is coming off a 3-2 loss at Central Arkansas on Sunday, keeping the Colonels at 14 points in the ASUN standings.
 
With a win or draw against Austin Peay, EKU will clinch the No. 2 seed in the ASUN Gold Division and secure its fifth consecutive appearance in the conference tournament, tying a program record.
 
Freshman forward Silvia Shirey enters the final week of the regular season in strong form, having scored in back-to-back matches.
 
Her equalizer last Thursday at North Alabama, which secured a road draw, was featured as the No. 2 play on SportsCenter Top 10 and highlighted across national social media channels, including NCAA, NCAA Soccer and SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt.
 
On the year, the Nashville, Tennessee, native has appeared in six matches, scored in two, and ranks fourth on the team in shot accuracy, placing 62.5 percent of her attempts on goal.
 
Scouting Austin Peay
Austin Peay (0-11-5, 0-6-2 ASUN) enters the final week of the regular season winless and out of contention for the ASUN Tournament. Junior midfielder Vivian Burke leads the Governors with three of their six goals this year.
 
Scouting Lipscomb
Lipscomb (11-3-2, 7-0-1 ASUN) has already clinched the ASUN Gold Division title with 22 points and is currently tied for the overall No. 1 seed in the conference standings. The Bisons will visit Bellarmine on Thursday before traveling to Richmond for Sunday's regular-season finale.
 
Junior midfielder Hailey Johnson leads Lipscomb with nine goals and has earned ASUN Player of the Week honors once this season.
