INDIANAPOLIS – Eastern Kentucky University Vice President and Director of Athletics, Kyle Moats has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Football Championship (FCS) Oversight Committee.
 
As a member of the committee, Moats will serve as the United Athletic Conference's representative, with a total of 18 members including a representative from each FCS conference making up the constituency.
 
Now in his second year at EKU, this will be the second time in Moats' career that he has been selected to serve on the committee.
 
While the Director of Athletics at Missouri State, Moats was appointed to serve on the NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee in February 2017 and became committee chair prior to the 2020-21 academic year.
 
The NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision Oversight Committee maintains oversight of championship subdivision football, to include overseeing playing rules, enhancing development of the sport, and addressing strategic initiatives and topics in FCS football.
 
The committee also supervises selection procedures for the FCS Championship, reviews recommendations from the NCAA Division I Football Championship Committee, and processes other issues related to the administration of the Division I FCS Championship.
