NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After starting its 2-match road trip with a shutout win on Friday, Eastern Kentucky University volleyball was shutout on Saturday in a 3-0 loss at Lipscomb in Nashville.

The Bisons won by scores of 25-23, 25-23 and 26-24.

Emilee Hill led the Colonels (10-6, 2-2 ASUN) with 15 kills to go along with 16 assists. She made only four attack errors and hit .314 for the match.Â
AG Hynes had eight kills and only one error for a .304 hitting percentage.

EKU tied the first set at 22-22 on a kill from
Addison Burke, and then tied it again at 23-23 on a kill from
Cooper Abney. Lipscomb (6-6, 2-2 ASUN) scored the final two points to take the opener.

Burke got the Colonels within one, 23-22, with a kill late in the second set, and then made it a 1-point score at 24-23 with another kill. However, Allison Barrick finished it off for Lipscomb with a kill for a 2-0 lead in the match.

EKU took set point, 24-22, in the third on a kill from Hill but the Bisons staged a comeback. Two straight points tied it up. An ace from Sophia Hudepohl gave the home team match-point. Courtney Jones finished off the comeback with a kill for the win.

Berkley Mischler led all players with 15 kills for Lipscomb. Jones had 11.

The Colonels made five fewer attack errors, but the Bisons had 12 more kills and hit .270 for the match.
