RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University won its fourth straight match, its longest winning streak of the season, with a 3-1 victory at home against Austin Peay on Saturday.

The Colonels won by scores of 18-25, 25-15, 25-15 and 25-14.

Emilee Hill recorded her eighth triple-double of the season and the 13th of her career for the Colonels (17-7, 9-3 ASUN). She finished with 14 kills, 24 assists and 18 digs to go along with four blocks.

The Governors (4-20, 2-10 ASUN) scored five of the first six points of the first set and never trailed. Taly Cloyd's kill ended the opener and gave the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The Colonels took their first lead in the second set on a kill from
Carson Ledford that made it 9-8. A run of three straight pushed the margin to 16-12 in favor of EKU.Â
Amanda Mack's kill made it 20-13. Mack ended the set and tied the match with another kill.

Back-to-back blocks by Ledford and Hill staked the Colonels to a 9-4 lead early in the third set. Two straight aces off the serve of
Lydia Stephens made it 14-6. Two straight attack errors handed EKU a 17-6 advantage.Â
AG Hynes ended the set with a kill and put her team in front 2-1.

Trailing 6-5 early in the fourth set, the Colonels rolled off seven straight and never trailed again.Â
Addison Burke tied it at 6-6 with a kill and then moments later made it 8-6 with an ace. Three straight APSU attack errors wrapped up the run and put EKU out ahead 12-6. Hill made it 20-12 with a kill. Mack finished off the match with a kill.

Hynes and Mack also finished with 14 kills each. Hynes made only two errors and hit .500 for the match. Burke served up five aces to go along with nine kills and five digs.

Cloyd led Austin Peay with 14 kills, posting a .407 attack percentage.

EKU totaled 60 kills and a .299 attack percentage. The Governors had only 39 kills and hit .174. The home team also had a 10-2 advantage in service aces.
