FORT MYERS, Fla. – Eastern Kentucky University will begin play in the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball Tournament against No. 6 seed Queens University of Charlotte on Thursday at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Fla.
The match will begin at 1 p.m. ET and air live on ESPN+.
The winner will face the winner of the No. 2 Jacksonville/No. 7 North Alabama match in the semifinals on Friday at 4 p.m. ET. The tournament championship is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. All tournament matches will air live on ESPN+.
THE COLONELS
- No. 3 seed EKU finished the regular season 20-8 overall and 12-4 in the ASUN. The Colonels tied for second in the league standings with Jacksonville and Central Arkansas.
- EKU has qualified for the ASUN Tournament four times in its five seasons as a member of the conference (2021, 2023, 2024, 2025). The Colonels picked up their first tournament win last season, beating Jacksonville 3-1 in the opening round.
- The Colonels have won 20 or more matches in three straight seasons, the first time the program has accomplished that since 2003, 2004 and 2005.

Emilee Hill averaged 2.65 kills, 5.96 assists, 3.10 digs, 0.46 blocks and 0.23 aces per set this season. She is the only player in the ASUN to average more than 5.7 assists, 3.0 digs, 2.0 kills and 0.40 blocks per set.

Carson Ledford is third in the ASUN with a .364 attack percentage and ninth in blocks with 0.96 per set.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Queens went 18-11 this season and 9-7 in league matches. The Royals concluded the regular season with a 3-0 victory at West Georgia and a 3-1 win over Lipscomb at home.
- The Royals offer a balanced offensive attack with four players averaging between 2.26 and 2.64 kills per set. Elizabeth Layson leads the team at 2.64 per set while hitting .227.
- The tandem of Camryn Teasley and Emma Norris average 1.08 and 1.03 blocks per set, respectively.
- As a team, Queens leads the conference in opponent service aces (1.14/set), is second in digs (15.22/set) and opponent hitting percentage (.202), and third in blocks (2.23/set).
INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Colonels are 5-0 all-time against Queens with the first meeting coming in 2022.
- In the only meeting this season between the two teams, EKU beat the Royals 3-0 on Oct. 10 in Richmond.
