As a team, EKU matched Jacksonville shot for shot in the first three quarters of play, even holding +13 lead over the Dolphins with just under five minutes left in the third period.
In the fourth quarter, the Colonels shot 26 percent from the floor making only 5-of-19 field goals, allowing Jacksonville to rack up 24 points worth of offense in just 10 minutes—putting Saturday's game out of reach for EKU.
The Dolpins outscored EKU 32-17 in the fourth quarter to win the contest 80-72. Despite the cold-shooting end, the Colonels still shot 40 percent (26-64) from the floor and went 12-for-12 from the free throw line in the loss.
