RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU women's tennis dropped its Atlantic Sun Conference opener against North Florida, 4-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
EKU (7-13, 0-1 ASUN) won the doubles point wins on court Nos. 1 and 2.  Anastasiia Cherniakova and Masha Fedenko won 7-6 (7-3) over Nicole Alfaro Solis and Isabel Oliveira.  On court two, Ceylin Ipek and Izem Elif Olcer took down Laurie Barendse and Anslee Long in decisive 6-0 fashion.
 
In singles, the Colonels only picked up one victory by Marilou Cote who took down Alfaro Solis in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6.  The Quebec native finished the day with a 1-1 overall record.
