CONWAY, Ark. – Eastern Kentucky University grabbed a first inning lead, but Central Arkansas scored 12 unanswered on its way to a 16-6 victory in the Atlantic Sun Conference series finale on Sunday.

The Colonels plated three runs in the top of the first to grab the early lead.Â
AJ Groeneveld drove in two with a single to left field.Â
Ehinger Adrianza added a sacrifice fly.

The Bears, however, answered quickly by scoring eight in the bottom half of the inning. Jagger Schattle drove in a pair with a single to left. Nathan Negre cleared the bases with a double to left center to make it 8-3.Â

Adrianza hit a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth for EKU (4-24, 3-6 ASUN) to cut it to a 12-6 deficit. The senior third baseman finished 1-for-2 with a run and four RBIs.Â

Groeneveld had a 2-for-4 game with a run and two driven in.

Negre led the Bears (9-17, 4-5 ASUN) with a 3-for-5 game. He scored a run and drove in four.
