RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University beach volleyball team is in Huntsville, Alabama, this week for the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship beginning on Thursday, April 24, at John Hunt Park.
The Colonels will open the tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face the No. 3 seed Florida Gulf Coast at 2:30 p.m. ET on Thursday.
All matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.
EKU enters the tournament with a 13-12 overall record this season, most recently splitting its final four matches of the regular season at the Georgia State Diggin' Duals.
The two wins earned over UL-Monroe in Atlanta secured the third straight winning season for the Colonels, the first time the feat has been accomplished in program history.
On the season, the duo of
Elpida Pitsigkoni and
Bella Williams has been dominant, going 14-7 in their matches between the 4's and 5's. In Atlanta, the pair went 3-1, including a win at the 5's over the pair from No. 18 Georgia State.
Joining Pitsigkoni and Williams with 14 individual wins on the season are
Madalyn Richardson and
Molly Shomock for the most on the team in 2025.
Senior
Paityn Walker enters the tournament as the program's all-time leader in career wins with 60 after going 12-13 at the 1's this season.
Florida Gulf Coast comes to Huntsville with a 19-11 overall record as the No. 18 team in the country with four ranked wins.
The Eagles have won seven of their last eight matches to close out the 2025 regular season with their only loss coming at South Carolina on April 18.
