RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University has unveiled its home game times and promotions ahead of the 2025 football season.
The Colonels will have six games at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium this season after going 6-0 inside its friendly confines in 2024, the first undefeated season at home for EKU since 2010.
The home campaign begins on Sept. 6 against Houston Christian out of the Southland Conference at 6 p.m. for a "Maroon Out" with all fans encouraged to wear maroon and show their EKU pride.
Following two weeks on the road, EKU will face another set of Colonels on Family Weekend in Nicholls on Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
On Oct. 11, EKU will face long-time rival Austin Peay for "Kids at the Kidd" and EKU's annual Hall of Fame Weekend with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
As part of "Kids at the Kidd", all children 12-years of age or under being eligible for complimentary and discounted tickets. The Colonels will also be having a halftime run on the field where for all children in attendance to come down the hill in the north endzone on to the field just as the team does before every home game.
Later in the month EKU will welcome friends old and new back to Richmond for Homecoming as the Colonels face the Tarleton State Texans at 3 p.m.
The 2025 home slate ends with a set of back-to-back games on Campus Beautiful as the Colonels welcome Southern Utah on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. for Salute to Service and Abilene Christian at 3 p.m. on Nov. 15 for Senior Day.
As a part of the Colonels' Salute to Service, EKU will have an array of displays and performances dedicated to the United States Military. Complimentary and discounted tickets will be available at a later date for all current service members, military veterans, and their families.
