KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team suffered a 9-0 loss to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon at Regal Soccer Stadium.

Stephanie Liu was subbed in for the final 20 minutes of action and had one save, her first appearance in the maroon and white.
EKU (1-1) failed to attempt a shot in the game while Tennessee (2-0) registered 34 shots from 13 different student-athletes.
The Lady Vols had nine goals from five different players. Sophomore forward Alivia Scott had five goals scored in the 65th, 67th, 81st, 84th, and 85th minutes – tying the Tennessee single game record.
Sophomore holding mid Jasmine Boggs had two assists on goals scored in the 51st and 63rd minutes. Tennessee's nine goals tied the most goals scored in a single game in program history.
EKU returns to action next Thursday against South Carolina Upstate at Lexington Sporting Club. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET.
