SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to rainy weather moving into the Carolinas, the teams will play round one on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and then play the final two rounds on Monday starting at 8:45 a.m.
ASHEBORO, N.C. – The third event of the fall will take the Eastern Kentucky University women's golf team to the Tot Hill Farm Invitational in Asheboro, North Carolina starting on Sunday.
The 54-hole event, hosted by the College of Charleston, will be contested over two days at the par-72, 6,023-yard Tot Hill Farm Golf Club.
The 13 participating teams are: Old Dominion, College of Charleston, Queens, Elon, Wofford, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Radford, North Carolina A&T, EKU, Gardner-Webb, Presbyterian and Western Carolina.
The first round will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The final 36 holes will be played on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:45 a.m.
The Colonels' lineup will include senior
Lanie Campbell, sophomore
Karra Tucker, sophomore
Imogen Jessen, senior
Elizabeth Tucci and sophomore
Maddi-Jo Benton.
EKU opened the season with a first place finish at the Redbird Invitational and then finished tied for 13
th in a strong field at the Lady Paladin Invitational – which was won by Alabama.
Campbell shot a final round 2-under 70 to lead the Colonels and tie for 29
th in the field of 92 players at the Lady Paladin. The newcomer, who transferred from Middle Tennessee, shot 75 during the first two rounds and finished with a 54-hole total of 220.
Tucker, the individual medalist at the Redbird Invitational, shot a 1-under 71 during the second round of the Lady Paladin Invitational. She finished 33
rd with a total of 221.
Tucker leads the team with a 72.33 stroke average this season. Campbell is second at 73.33.
