RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's and women's track teams open competition in 2026 on Friday at the Bellarmine Open at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.
The Colonels return to action in the indoor season after breaking two school records in the throwing events via
Kristan Simmons and
Daroyce Flemons in the women's and men's weight throw back in December, with both returning to the cage on Friday.
Also competing in the women's weight throw with Simmons will be
Haley Angel and
Lexi Lawless with Flemons,
JJ Love, and Matt See competing on the men's side.
On the track,
Brandon Snell will open his indoor season in the 400 meters.
The meet will end with the women's and men's shot put for EKU, with
Eliza Hoffman,
Amya Livingston,
Ava Phillips, and
Lariah Wooden representing the women, and
William Kissick,
JJ Love, and Matt See competing for the men.
Bellarmine Open
