EKU Announces Softball Game Promotions Schedule For 2026 Season

RICHMOND, Ky. — Eastern Kentucky University announced promotions for home games during the 2026 softball season.
 
Several season-long promotions will run for EKU softball during the 2026 campaign. Weekday games throughout the season will be designated as $2 Days, featuring $2 tickets, popcorn, and hot dogs.
 
Each Saturday will be Junior Colonel Club Saturday. All EKU Junior Colonel Club members receive free admission. All kids 12 and under will have the chance to be a guest PA announcer and be the "play ball" kid, and take part in post-game base running.
 
Concession specials will run all season, including Last Call Half Off, where hot dogs, burgers and popcorn are half off beginning in the top of the fourth inning of single games and at the start of game two of doubleheaders. Additionally, if EKU softball or baseball records 12 strikeouts or hits a grand slam, all fans will receive a voucher for a free hot dog, redeemable at any of the next three home games.
 
The EKU Colonel Classic and EKU Invitational will both feature an all-weekend concession combo for $10, which includes a hot dog, chips, and a drink.
 
The home series against Austin Peay on March 14-15 will include several promotions. Saturday's doubleheader will feature National Pie Day with a mini pie giveaway and Junior Colonel Club Saturdays.
 
Sunday's game will celebrate Luck of the Colonels, featuring a lucky seat giveaway.
 
March 21-22 against Bellarmine will highlight Junior Colonel Club and Youth Sports Day on Saturday, with kids receiving free admission, inflatables, postgame autographs, and a Coca-Cola EKU beanie giveaway.
 
Sunday will feature a SAAC Egg Hunt following the game, free hot chocolate for the first 75 fans, and an EKU maroon mug giveaway.
 
The Colonels will host Louisville on March 31 for Greek Night and Maroon Out and $2 Day, in partnership with Fraternity and Sorority Life. The game will feature $2 popcorn and hot dogs along with a Coca-Cola maroon EKU Softball long sleeve giveaway.
 
The April 11-12 series against North Alabama will include Bark in the Park on Saturday, allowing fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark. Pup cups with treats, frisbees, and dog bowl mats will be given away.
 
Sunday will serve as Fan Appreciation Day, featuring five innings of winnings with a fan selected to win a prize each inning.
 
Faculty and Staff Appreciation will take place April 15 against Morehead State as part of a $2 Day, with all EKU faculty, staff and Madison County teachers receiving one complimentary ticket. Faculty and staff will also have access to a $5 popcorn and soda combo.
 
The April 18-19 series against Central Arkansas will feature Junior Colonel Club Saturday activities and TikTok Hits and Trending Songs.
 
Sunday's game will serve as Senior Day, honoring the 2026 senior class.
 
The home game against Marshall on April 21 will close out the promotional schedule with a $2 weekday, featuring $2 tickets, popcorn and hot dogs, along with a Student Life giveaway of 100 EKU visors.
