RICHMOND, Ky. — The Eastern Kentucky beach volleyball kicks off a new season on Feb. 20, hosting the Cincy Clash in Loveland, Ohio.
The Colonels will play four matches over two days, facing Liberty, Austin Peay, Morehead State, and Tusculum from Feb. 20-21.
EKU opens the weekend on Friday at 8 a.m. against Liberty.
Liberty went 18-8 last season. The Colonels are 6-0 all-time against Liberty, last defeating them 5-0 in last season's Cincy Clash.
Later on Friday, EKU takes on Austin Peay at 2 p.m.
Austin Peay finished last season 3-22, falling to the Colonels twice, both by 5-0 scores.
On Saturday, EKU begins play at noon against Morehead State.
The Eagles defeated EKU 3-2 in last year's Cincy Clash, but the Colonels responded with a 5-0 sweep later in the season.
EKU wraps up the tournament against Tusculum. The Colonels swept Tusculum 5-0 in their last meeting in 2025, while the Pioneers finished last season 15-15.
In 2025, EKU posted its third straight winning season, tallying 14 victories and earning the program's first ASUN Tournament win.
Last season, the Colonels went 3-1 in the Cincy Clash.
Senior
Molly Shomock leads the Colonels after appearing in 27 duals last season, finishing 14-13 overall and 8-5 in the second flight.
Junior
Elpida Pitsigkoni tied for the team lead in wins, finishing 16-10 overall, including a 12-8 record in the fifth flight and a 7-5 mark against ASUN opponents.
Seven newcomers have also joined the Colonels' roster for the upcoming season.
