RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a 4-0 sweep of Southern Indiana on Wednesday afternoon at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
The Colonels honored a four-member senior class of Masha Fedenko, Marilou Cote, Zhansaya Bakytzhan and Sasha Parkhomenko prior to the match for their contributions to the program.
 
With the win, EKU improves to 10-12 on the season and extends its winning streak to four matches dating back to March 19. Wednesday's result also secured the Colonels' first 10-win season since 2017.
 
EKU claimed the doubles point with decisive 6-2 victories on courts one and three while holding the lead on all three courts throughout doubles play.
 
In singles action, Fedenko, Cote and Bakytzhan each earned victories to secure the sweep.
 
Bakytzhan gave EKU its first singles point with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over Southern Indiana's Claire Meyer on court six. Cote pushed the lead to 3-0 with a straight-sets 6-4, 7-6 victory against Rylie Wilkison on court four.
 
After dropping the opening set, Fedenko rallied for a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 comeback victory over USI's Sofia Davidoff to clinch the match.
 
Wednesday marked EKU's final home match of the 2026 season. The Colonels return to action on Friday, April 10 at Lipscomb. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
