RICHMOND, Ky. – Drae Vasser, a 6-foot-1 guard from Louisville, Kentucky, has signed to play basketball at Eastern Kentucky University.

Vasser spent the past two seasons at Vincennes University. After redshirting in 2024-25 he averaged 17.6 points, 5.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game on his way to earning First Team NJCAA All-America honors this past season. Vasser shot 46% from the field and 41% from 3-point range, sinking 94 shots from deep. He also knocked down 83% at the free throw line.

The Region 24 Player of the Year and First Team All-Region selection scored 40 points in a game against Olney Central College on Feb. 25. Vasser hit on 13-of-23 from the field, 7-of-15 from behind the arc and 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also had a 30-point game against Lake Land College on Feb. 18.Â

In addition to his scoring, Vasser handed out 11 assists in a game twice, and dished out 10 assists in two games. He had a season-high 12 rebounds in the game against Lake Land, and pulled down 10 boards on two occasions.

Vasser led Vincennes to a 31-3 record and a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.

As a senior at Trinity High School in 2023-24, Vasser averaged 14.2 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field and 36% from 3-point range. He earned third team all-state recognition after helping the Shamrocks to a 27-8 record, district and region championships and a trip to the state elite eight.

In 2022-23, Vasser averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds as a junior.
