FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team saw its season end with a 4-0 loss to No. 2 seed Lipscomb in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Tennis Championship on Thursday morning at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
 
With the defeat, EKU finishes the season with a 10-15 overall record, marking its highest win total since 2018.
 
Lipscomb (14-6) secured the doubles point with wins on courts No. 1 (6-3) and No. 2 (6-0). The Colonels' No. 3 duo of Marilou Cote and Izem Elif Olcer accounted for EKU's lone victory of the day, defeating Lipscomb's Martina Bovio and Kameliia Tytarenko, 6-1.
 
In singles play, the Bisons clinched the match with straight-set victories on courts No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6 to reach the four points needed for the team win.
 
Lipscomb advances to face the winner of No. 4 seed Austin Peay and No. 5 seed North Alabama on Friday at 5 p.m. ET.
