RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University lost to North Alabama, 15-3, in the Atlantic Sun Conference series finale on Sunday at Earle Combs Stadium.

UNA got on the board first with Nash Rippen's leadoff home run in the second. Rippen came to bat again in the third inning, this time with the bases loaded, and deposited a 1-0 pitch 463 feet over the wall in right field for a 5-0 advantage.

The Colonels pushed across three runs in the bottom of the third to stay within striking distance.Â

North Alabama (23-20, 14-7 ASUN) pulled away after scoring a run in the fourth and five in the fifth. Wes Walker hit a 2-run homer to make it 8-3. A 2-out, 2-run single from Dylan Coleman capped the fifth inning and gave his squad an 11-3 lead.

Another 2-run home run from Walker, this time in the sixth inning, pushed the margin to 10, 13-3.

Longo had a 2-for-2 game with an RBI. Pratt was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run.

Rippen went 2-for-5 with two home runs, two runs and five RBIs. Walker finished 4-for-5 with two home runs, two runs and four RBIs. Coleman had a 2-for-4 game with one home run, two runs and four RBIs.

EKU (10-34, 4-17 ASUN) will play at Northern Kentucky on Tuesday at 3 p.m. before wrapping up the home portion of its 2026 schedule by hosting Lipscomb for a 3-game series next weekend.
