10 Home Matches Highlight First Season in the United Athletic Conference

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team officially released its 2026 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by 10 home matches and three contests against opponents that finished inside the top 110 of the RPI last season.

On July 1, EKU will officially transition to the United Athletic Conference and begin a 10-match conference slate in late September. Fans can find full details on the venture online here.

UAC women's soccer members include Abilene Christian, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Little Rock, North Alabama, Tarleton State and West Georgia.

Last season, EKU posted its second consecutive 10-win campaign, finishing 10-4-5 overall and 7-0-3 at home. The Colonels set program records for goals (30), points (92) and assists (32), while recording the fourth-most shots in a season (250).

EKU had two student-athletes earn United Soccer Coaches All-South Region honors, tying the program record for selections in a single season. The Colonels also placed 13 players on all-conference teams, including three second-team selections.

The Colonels open the 2026 season on the road at Cincinnati on August 12 before hosting Cleveland State in their home opener on August 16.

EKU will play three additional matches in August, beginning with a road contest at Youngstown State on August 23. The Colonels return home to face Morehead State on August 27 before closing the month at Chattanooga on August 30.

The Colonels will spend much of September in the friendly confines of the EKU Soccer Field, where the program has compiled a 14-2-4 record and 80.0 winning percentage over the last two seasons. Last year, EKU finished undefeated at home with a 7-0-3 mark and climbed as high as No. 31 in the RPI, the highest ranking in program history.

EKU opens September with home matches against Miami (Ohio) on September 3 and South Carolina Upstate on September 6 before traveling to Northern Kentucky on September 10.

The Colonels conclude non-conference play against Xavier on September 17 before opening UAC competition with home matches against Austin Peay on September 24 and West Georgia on September 27.

October begins with a road match at North Alabama on October 4 before EKU returns home to face Central Arkansas on October 8 and Little Rock on October 11. The meeting with Little Rock will mark the first matchup between the two programs.

Following that homestand, the Colonels will play four of their final five regular season matches on the road, beginning with trips to Tarleton State on October 15 and Abilene Christian on October 18.

EKU closes its home schedule against North Alabama on October 25 before wrapping up the regular season with road matches at West Georgia on October 29 and Austin Peay on November 1.

Match times, promotional information and conference tournament details will be announced at a later date. Fans are encouraged to visit EKUSports.com for the latest information on the EKU women's soccer program.
