Women’s Soccer Adds Six New Players to Finalize 2026 Roster

Season Opener on August 12 at Cincinnati

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team has added six student-athletes to finalize its 2026 roster, head coach Matt Cosinuke announced Thursday.

Robin Reilly, Regan Reilly, Ronnie Ariel, Hinami Ogushi, Elizabeth Hightshue and Lauren Lambert will join the Colonels this summer, bringing the roster to 27 players for the upcoming season.

The six additions include two wingers, two defenders, one midfielder and one goalkeeper, bringing EKU's 2026 signing class to 11 players.

"I am thrilled to add these six young women and all incoming players to our family," Cosinuke said. "We are excited by their qualities and character. We expect them all to contribute to our pursuit of United Athletic Conference championships and make the EKU soccer family better."

Robin Reilly, a sophomore transfer midfielder from Latrobe, Pennsylvania, joins EKU after spending her first collegiate season at West Virginia University of the Big 12 Conference. Last season, she appeared in three matches as a reserve and recorded a shot attempt against Duquesne.

During her prep career, Reilly attended Greater Latrobe High School and graduated as the school's all-time leader in goals and assists, breaking her older sister's records with 65 goals and 52 assists. She was a two-time all-state selection, a three-time all-conference honoree and was selected to the U.S. Olympic Development Program National Team in 2022 and 2023.

Her older sister, Reagan Reilly, a junior transfer defender, also joins the Colonels after spending the past two seasons at Bowling Green State University. Since 2024, she has appeared in 16 matches and made six starts for the Falcons.

As a sophomore, Reagan Reilly appeared in four matches and recorded an assist against Central Michigan in conference play. Prior to college, she attended Greater Latrobe High School, where she totaled 53 goals and 18 assists while earning two all-conference honors.

Ogushi, a junior transfer defender, is EKU's third portal signee after totaling 10 goals and six assists during two seasons at Iowa Western Community College from 2024-26.

During her time at Iowa Western, Ogushi started 40 matches and helped lead the program to two appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament. She earned NJCAA First Team All-Region honors twice and was a two-time NJCAA Academic All-Region selection.

Ariel, a freshman winger from Ra'anana, Israel, joins EKU following a successful youth career with Ra'anana Women FC and appearances with the Israel Women's National Team at the U17 and U19 levels.

She appeared in eight UEFA Women's Championship qualifying matches during the 2023 and 2024 tournaments. Ariel scored against Gibraltar and earned starts against Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland and Scotland.

Cosinuke rounds out his 2026 signing class with two additional freshmen from Tennessee, adding midfielder Elizabeth Hightshue from Chattanooga Christian School and goalkeeper Lauren Lambert from Hardin Valley Academy in Knoxville.

EKU women's soccer has appeared in five consecutive conference tournaments since 2021, advancing to one championship match and three semifinal appearances during that span. The Colonels will transition from the Atlantic Sun Conference to the United Athletic Conference in 2026.

EKU has won 10 or more matches in each of the past two seasons, winning 23 total matches, and was one of 23 teams in the nation to finish undefeated at home in 2025 with a 7-0-3 record. The Colonels have also produced 25 all-conference selections and three United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees during that stretch.

EKU opens the 2026 season on August 12 at Cincinnati. Fans can view the complete schedule online here.
