First UAC Men's Basketball Schedule Announced

ARLINGTON, Texas –
The United Athletic Conference (UAC) announced its first men's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday.  Eastern Kentucky University will play 16 league contests with eight games at home and eight on the road.
 
The 2026-27 academic year will be the first for the UAC as an all-sports conference.  In addition to EKU, membership includes Abilene Christian, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Little Rock, North Alabama, Tarleton, Texas-Arlington and West Georgia.
 
The Colonels will open conference play on Jan. 6 at Austin Peay.  EKU will then play three straight at home.  West Georgia comes to Richmond on Jan. 9 followed by Tarleton on Jan. 13 and North Alabama on Jan. 16.
 
EKU will close out the month of January with three UAC road games.  A trip to Arkansas to face Little Rock (Jan. 20) and Central Arkansas (Jan. 23) will be followed by a road trip to West Georgia on Jan. 30.
 
Texas-Arlington will be in Richmond for a game on Feb. 3.  The Colonels will play at North Alabama on Feb. 6 before another stretch of three straight at Baptist Health Arena.  Central Arkansas comes to town on Feb. 10 followed by Abilene Christian on Feb. 13 and Austin Peay on Feb. 17.
 
The month of February concludes with a contest at Tarleton on Feb. 20 and a home game against Little Rock on Feb. 27.  Little Rock will be under the direction of first-year head coach Travis Ford.  Ford played at the University of Kentucky and was the head coach at EKU from 2000 to 2005.
 
The regular season ends with a road trip to Texas.  The Colonels will play at Abilene Christian on March 3 and at Texas-Arlington on March 6.
 
The first United Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament will be March 10-13.  The location has not been announced.
 
EKU season ticket holders will be able to renew their tickets starting August 1.
