RICHMOND, Ky. - The Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team opens its inaugural UAC conference play at home this week, hosting Austin Peay on Thursday and West Georgia on Sunday at EKU Soccer Field.

Thursday's match marks the 22nd meeting between EKU and Austin Peay, dating back to their days in the Ohio Valley Conference. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m., while Sunday's match against West Georgia begins at 1 p.m. Both matches will stream on ESPN+, with live stats available.

EKU enters conference play with a 4-4-1 record. Eight Colonels have scored this season, combining for 15 goals. Junior forwards Avery May and Lauren Link lead the team with three goals apiece, while Robin Reilly, Chiara Premoli and Emma Wolf have each scored twice.

May also leads the UAC with 31 shots, including 13 on goal, and has added three assists for the Colonels.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jordan LeVasseur has made six starts, recording 24 saves and a .750 save percentage. She made a season-high eight saves against Xavier in EKU's last outing.

As of Wednesday, EKU sits second in the UAC Blue Division behind North Alabama.

Scouting Austin Peay

Austin Peay (1-7-1) travels to Richmond seeking its second win of the season after a 3-1 loss to Jackson State on Friday. The Governors have scored four goals this season. Kayla Barr leads the team with 17 shots and a goal.

Defensively, Austin Peay has allowed 20 goals. Megan Waskiewicz has started all nine matches in goal and recorded 48 saves.

EKU leads the all-time series 9-8-4, dating back to the programs' first meeting in 2005. The teams split two matches last season, with the Colonels earning a 1-0 win in Clarksville. May scored the game-winning goal in the 35th minute off an assist from Peyton Smith.

EKU has not lost to Austin Peay since 2021.

Scouting West Georgia

West Georgia (0-5-2) enters conference play seeking its first win of the season. The Wolves have allowed multiple goals in just two matches. Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Sanabria has recorded 51 saves while allowing nine goals.

On offense, three different players have scored West Georgia's three goals this season.

The programs have met once before, with EKU earning a 1-0 home victory in 2024. Chiara Premoli recorded an assist in the win.
